For your next fishing vacation, book a trip to Costa Rica and join a fishing trip with Lucky Dreams Sport Fishing. The day will be spent with Captain Mauricio Canales, who has over 3 decades of fishing this area – it’s safe to say he knows the area intimately and will take you to the best spots to catch fish. Lucky Dreams strives to make their trips child friendly and enjoyable to all anglers on board, whether it’s your first fishing trip or your hundredth.
The day will be spent on the “Coco Wahoo,” a 30’ boat that can easily have 7 anglers on board with room to spare. This boat has a canopy to protect you from the strong sunshine. To help with the fishing, there is a flybridge to help find your fish and a fighting chair to aid you in reeling it in.
Depending on the trip you choose to go on, you’ll be fishing inshore or up to 12 miles from shore. This gives you the chance to target big game fish, like Blue Marlin and Sailfish. One of the most prestigious inshore species to catch and release here is the Roosterfish. This macho fish will give you an epic fight, as it uses all its strength to get off the line. Sizes here are regularly 50 pounds, with 80 lb fish sometimes caught too.
These trips are great for kids and beginners alike. There’s a restroom for your convenience. There is no minimum age for children on board and life vests are provided.
If you wish to snorkel, please let the captain know before the day of the trip. He will arrange the equipment for you. Have a camera ready to capture the breathtaking scenery and marine wildlife – you might even see a whale here!
Included in all the trips are drinks (water, beer, and juice) and fruit. Feel free to bring more snacks, which can go into the captain’s cooler on board. All rods and reels are provided, as well as your fishing license and the bait you might use – either caught during the trip or frozen.
Book a trip with Lucky Dreams Sport Fishing today for an unforgettable day out!
