Tyee Charters

Are you ready for an awesome day of fishing on Campbell River? Then you need to book a trip with Tyee Charters today. Captain David has been fishing his whole life. He is all about the well-being of his customers and will do everything he can to make sure you have a productive and safe day out on the water with him.

This is the boat of Capt. David’s dreams, and it’s easy to see why. This boat is decked out with complete navigational and safety equipment, as well as a liferaft, anti-slip flooring, a diesel heater to keep you warm, leather upholstery seating, and a Fusion sound system inside and outside the cabin. You can connect via Bluetooth to the sound system, so make sure you have your fishing playlist saved on your phone.

The fish you’ll be targeting range depending on the time of the year. Chinook Salmon can be caught year round. The Chinook here made Campbell River famous and can reach over 30 pounds, especially in the summer. You can also catch Coho Salmon and Lingcod on these trips.

Children of all ages are welcome on board. Capt. David had his kids out on the water fishing since they were 6 months old. There are life vests of various sizes on board. However, if you have the exact-sized life vest for your child at home you should bring that on the trip.

Included in the price of the trip are top quality rods and reels, that won’t let you down when reeling in your dream catch. Dead bait is provided and the captain will fillet the fish that you can legally take. There is also water and pop on board.

You’ll need to bring along a fishing licence for everyone in your group over 16, as well as any snacks you need for the day. Wear weather appropriate clothing and deck shoes and you’re good to go.

Book a trip with Tyee Charters today for an unforgettable day of fishing for you and your whole family. You’ll be back time and time again!

We use up to 16 traps (limit of 4 traps per permit) to maximize our chances and make sure everyone has some delicious prawns to bring home! Our spots for prawning are located in some of the most scenic areas British Columbia has to offer. We can arrange special BBQ's or enjoy some fishing while the traps are "soaking". Because of the distance to be covered trips usually last for 10 hours +. Captain and deckhand on board for this trip.

I was introduced to fishing at a very young age by my parents who are both avid fishermen. By the time I was 6, I owned my first boat. I spent countless summers in northern Quebec fishing for Walleye, Pike, Gray Trout, and Brook Trout. Fishing was a religion in my family. My father and I would spend the year preparing for the next summer fishing trip that often lasted more than a month. At the age of 25, I moved to British Columbia to become a professional Salmon fisherman. In 2015, I was finally able to purchase the boat of my dreams (Kingfisher 2825) and got to explore the waters surrounding beautiful Vancouver Island with my family. I've also participated in many fishing derbies throughout the years and won the 1st prize for Chinook Salmon at the Nootka Marine Adventures Derby in 2016. Now that I have been to many prime destinations around the Island and fished countless hours in these waters, I want to share my passion for fishing with you.
