Get Bent Sport Fishing offers world-class fishing experiences off the coast of Tierra Verde. Captain Justin Hesenius and his crew are USCG licensed and their vessel is federally permitted to fish up to 65 miles from shore. They’re experts in a handful of techniques and they’ll work effortlessly to help you land that dream fish you’ve been thinking about all year!
From the backcountry to the open blue waters of the Gulf, Capt. Justin has got you covered. Whether you’re into shallow water drifting or deep sea trolling, he’s got just the trip for you. Head out on a 4-hour trip and try catching Tarpon or Kingfish off the beaches and wrecks. You can choose one of the longer trips to target larger species including Amberjack, Cobia, and various types of Grouper and Snapper.
You’ll hit the wrecks and other underwater structures along the way that produce tons of beautiful and delicious fish. Six-hour trips will take you 30 miles offshore, 8-hour trips will have you fishing within 45 miles of the coast, and 10-hour trips will see you targeting monster pelagics 65 miles out. You’ll be able to choose between trolling, drifting, bottom fishing, jigging, popping, spinning, handlining, kite fishing, and more.
You can also give spearfishing a try as long as you let the captain know in advance so he can bring the equipment and prepare for the trip. You’ll be provided with top-notch Shimano gear for all other types of fishing, as well as live bait and lures.
The captain’s boat is a 34’ SeaVee center console, outfitted with state-of-the-art electronics, outriggers, downriggers, a live bait tank, and private head. She can accommodate up to 6 guests and everyone can fish at the same time without bumping elbows.
Everything you need is covered, including your fishing license. The crew will also offer to clean and fillet your catch so you can take it home for dinner. Just bring some snacks and drinks, and get ready for some rod-bending action with Get Bent Sport Fishing!
