Cartagena Charters
If you’ve never been fishing in Colombia, let Cartagena Charters take you out for a memorable fishing experience! The bountiful waters of the Caribbean Sea are teeming with prized game fish and your captain has spent over 40 years going after them. He knows all the best fish hideouts and makes it his business to put you on the hottest bite.
There’s a variety of species to target in these productive waters, and there’s something for everyone. You’ll be fishing the inshore and nearshore waters for Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Snappers, Groupers, and King Mackerel. Head out up to 10 miles offshore, and you’ll come face to gills with Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and the prized Sailfish and Blue Marlin.
Whether you’re a seasoned sport fisherman or a novice angler, you’re going to have a blast. Your guide will provide you with quality Shimano and Daiwa fishing gear, as well as lures and live bait. Whatever you decide to keep, the captain will clean and fillet for you after the trip.
You will be fishing out of a 30’ Pro Sport center console with twin 225 HP Suzuki engines. The boat can fit up to 6 anglers and has everything you will need for a productive fishing day. Outriggers will allow you to cover more ground while trolling, and the quality navigational electronics will keep you on the bite.
There’s also a private toilet on board, which is very convenient for full day expeditions. The first mate will be with you every step of the way, and 10–15% tips for his hard work are appreciated.
It’s important to show up at the dock 30 minutes before departure. Don’t forget to bring a supply of food and drinks, as well as sunscreen, towels, and warm clothes if the weather looks fickle.
Fishing trips with Cartagena Charters are kid-friendly, as long as they’re 8 and older. There are life jackets for everyone on board.
Team up with a friendly local captain and explore the abundance of the Cartagena waters!
