Sir Reel Fishing Charters LLC
Captain Logan Hawthorne owns and operates Sir Reel Fishing Charters LLC, dedicated to exploring some of the finest inshore and nearshore fishing that the beautiful waters of SWFL have to offer. Sir Reel Fishing Charters offers private fishing trips for anglers of all levels of experience.
Captain Logan, a Florida native, is a US Coast Guard licensed and insured captain who enjoys sharing the knowledge he’s accumulated as a fishing guide with all his guests. Having spent over 20 years fishing these waters, Logan specializes in various fishing techniques including trolling, light tackle, heavy tackle, bottom fishing, and is used to utilizing both artificial lures as well as live and dead bait, depending on what’s in season and what fish you’d like to target.
You’ll be fishing on a 23’ Pathfinder HPS powered by a single 200 HP Yamaha engine to get you to where the action is quickly. The boat offers plenty of dry storage for you to safeguard your belongings, and features a bimini top that can be added for those hot days when you’d like to get out of the sun for a while. The vessel can comfortably accommodate up to 4 anglers per trip. Children of all ages are welcome on board and life vests are provided for them.
Some of the species Capt. Logan commonly targets on his trips include Snook, Redfish, Trout, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia and many more. You can also target the Silver King, the powerful and prehistoric Tarpon. This fish will really test your skills and must be released once caught. Tarpon over 40 inches must remain in the water.
All rods and reels – both conventional and fly fishing gear – are provided by the captain, along with live bait and lures for the trip. If you decide to keep the fish you catch, it will be cleaned and bagged after your trip by the captain at no additional charge. Don’t forget to bring food, drinks, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat.
