Your journey takes place aboard the captain’s 21’ Parker sport cabin, powered by a 200 HP Yamaha four stroke engine. She provides a smooth ride and is comfortable and spacious with room for 4 guests to enjoy a fun day of fishing. She comes with ample seating space, a built-in toilet, top-quality navigational and safety equipment, and state-of-the-art fishing gear and tackle.
On shorter trips, you’ll stay closer to shore to target delicious bottom-dwelling species such as Rockfish, Halibut, Calico Bass, and Sheephead. On longer trips, you’ll head out into the deep Pacific to troll for Striped Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and other pelagic species. You’ll be able to explore the beautiful waters surrounding Santa Catalina and San Clemente Islands to enjoy the beautiful sunset as you wrap up a productive day of fishing.
If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a rod for $15 and go spearfishing for species such as Yellowtail or Bluefin and Yellowfin Tuna. You can also try out the traditional art form of catching a fish with your bare hands. Capt. Russ is an expert in a number of other techniques as well, including jigging, popping, spinning, and drift fishing, so whatever your preferences are, he’ll be sure to accommodate your trip and put you on big fish!
