Salty Fin Charter invites you to join Captain Doug Illing for an adventure of a lifetime off the sunny coast of South Carolina. Whether you’re looking for a quick run nearshore, or a 12-hour excursion to the Gulf Stream waters, Capt. Doug will make sure you have a great time.
You’ll be cruising in a 2009 35’ Contender ST center console, powered by twin 350 HP Yamaha engines. This baby provides a fast and smooth ride and is equipped with top-of-the-line navigational equipment to bring you to fish as fast as possible.
The Contender also comes with state-of-the-art electronics by Simrad and Furuno, a comfortable bean bag and bench seating, and a T-top for shade and comfort. The deck provides plenty of room to fish without bumping elbows or tanglin’ lines, making her perfect for large groups. Most importantly, she has all the necessary safety gear to ensure a secure ride and allow kids of all ages to join in on the fun.
Capt. Doug is a USCG licensed captain and understands your time on the water is valuable, which is why he works hard to maximize your fishing time and put you on fish as quick as possible. Beginners will stay nearshore to target Spanish Mackerel, Seabass, and Shark, while those with more experience will troll for Mahi, Barracuda, Kingfish, Sailfish, and Amberjack. Capt. Doug also loves to take his customers bottom fishing for delicious meaty species such as Grouper and Snapper.
His Gulf Stream trips are reserved for the most hardcore anglers. Here you’ll be duking it out against various Tuna species, Marlin, Wahoo, and many other offshore pelagics.
You’ll have Okuma, Penn, and Shimano gear available and live bait will also be caught and used during your trip. Your fishing license is already covered, and Capt. Doug will also offer to fillet your catch for you.
Join Salty Fin Charter on the ride of a lifetime and prepare to be amazed. Feel free to bring a cooler with snacks and drinks and get ready for an unforgettable adventure!
