Chasing Dots LLC has a proven track record of getting fish on hooks! Captain Alan Patrick has a saying: “If you want to fish, choose the other guys. If you want to CATCH fish, book a trip with Chasing Dots.”
You will travel aboard a 22’ Blazer Bay, which is a real fishing machine. She can cruise super shallow waters and handles choppiness well when it comes to those island runs. She has dual Power-Poles, a new Garmin GPS, and a famous I-Pilot trolling motor. She has a new ICOM VHF and US Coast Guard approved safety gear on board. Two Yeti coolers are always available, with one for food and drinks, and another to keep your catch nice and cool.
You’ll use Penn reels for inshore trips, with 30 lb power pro-braided lines. The reels can be adjusted for right-hand or left-hand use. These reels get serviced every month by Reel Clean services to keep them in new condition. The captain has gear for wade fishing as well if you’re into getting wet. The boat also features two Boga grips, a walk-n-wade net, and dry boxes to carry spare lures. You’re all set up to fish, regardless of your skill level and age.
Fly fishing equipment is not provided and has to be arranged in advance. If you’re interested in fly fishing only, 2 guests maximum can go on the trip. Regular fishing trips accommodate 3 guests, and Red Snapper trips allow up to 4 guests. All trips come with a license, water, ice, bait and lures, rods and reels, and the captain will also clean and vacuum seal your fish.
Capt. Alan stays on the water all year long to catch fish. Join him and enjoy some of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s finest hideaways!
