Your guide for the day, Joseph Martin, is a USCG-licensed captain and expert in trolling and bottom fishing. You’ll explore the waters between Wrightsville Beach and Topsail Island and go further offshore to target a wide range of species. Your journey will take place on a beautiful and spacious "33 ft" "Contender Tournament" center console named "Linda K"!! Linda K has more than enough room for all passengers to fish at the same time with plenty of room to spare!! Also The Linda K is equipped with all the state-of-the-art electronics, fishing tackle, and safety gear. With her reliable twin 300 Yamaha engines she get you to the fishing grounds in a jiffy allowing for more time to fish!!Capt. Joe also welcomes kids ages 5 and older on board.
You can expect to do a lot of trolling and/or bottom fishing, depending on the trip you choose. While bottom fishing in inshore waters, you’ll target Porgy, Triggerfish, Grouper, Black Seabass, and many more. Heading further offshore opens up more opportunities for a greater range of species. Here, you’ll be trolling for Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Wahoo, Barracuda, and many other pelagic fish.
Capt. Joe will also take you fishing over reefs and wrecks where you’ll be able to drift or bottom fish for species such as Amberjack. The waters off the coast of Willmington and Hampstead are well-known for their diverse fishing grounds and there’s a little bit of something for everyone!
Your captain will provide you with top-notch rods, reels and gear made by Daiwa, Shimano and Penn!
