STSL Adventures was created by a group of life-long fishermen and women who are seriously passionate about the ocean! This offshore fishing charter service is based in Freeport, TX. Captain Jeffrey Naylor always strives for an amazing day on the water. When you step off his boat at the end of the day, he wants you to feel like a part of his fishing family. The captain and his crew work hard to ensure you’ll have fantastic fishing tales to share years from now.
You will be fishing aboard a 30’ Contender center console, named “Bluewater JAM.” This vessel was built to move quickly, fish hard, and keep you dry! She was restored in 2016 with twin Yamaha 250 HP engines and Garmin electronics. The boat is equipped with bean bags and a padded ice chest to sit on, a T-top to keep you in the shade, and a toilet. For your safety, the boat is equipped with USCG-approved life jackets, a life raft, a satellite phone, EPIRB, and VHF radio.
Your trip price covers tackle, bait, water, and ice. Fuel cost is covered on all trips, except for the overnight trip. Just bring your food and drinks, sunscreen, towel, sunglasses, hat, and shoes with non-marking soles. Kids of all ages are welcome on the boat, but you need to discuss with the captain in advance if you need a special-sized life vest. Anyone 17 or older needs to purchase a fishing license from Texas Parks & Wildlife.
This area offers a plethora of species to target. Depending on the season and sea conditions you can expect to target Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, Kingfish, Ling (Cobia), and Sharks on an offshore trip. The deepwater trips will take you on the hunt for Tuna, Amberjack, Wahoo, Grouper, and Tilefish. An overnight trip is reserved for those who take sportfishing seriously and want to target a whole host of species.
STSL Adventures has a clear goal – to put fish in the box and a smile on your face. Come join them for a trip you’ll remember for a lifetime!
