Discover new depths to river fishing with Pat Briere’s Muskie Charter. Captain Patrick will show you the art and joy of fishing for trophy Muskie along the St Lawrence and the Ottawa Rivers.
Capt. Patrick began fishing here from a young age and spent countless weekends fishing with his dad here. He was enamored with the stories of Muskie and soon perfected the best ways to fish for this awesome catch. Book a trip with him and you can find out the secret to success, too.
Hop on board his 21’ Lund pro v 2025, which has enough space for you and 5 of your fishing friends. The 200 HP Mercury engine will get you to the fishing grounds before you know it, with the fishfinder giving you that extra edge when stalking your prey.
The trip will mostly be spent going after trophy sized Muskie. These are strictly catch and release, so have your cameras ready. They can be caught from the 3rd Saturday in June to December 15th or freeze-up. On the 5-day trip, Capt. Patrick is confident you will catch a 50” or bigger Muskie in the hundreds of miles of shoreline that you’ll come into contact with. There will also be an opportunity to catch Bass (from the last Saturday in June till November 1st) and Walleye (from the 1st Saturday in May,) which can be taken home, up to limits.
You’ll be trying a variety of techniques, dependent on your skill level, to get the most out of your fishing trip. The large river you’ll fish has a strong undercurrent, with hard-fighting fish calling it home. The St Croix rods and Shimano reels will give you the best chance of catching your trophy.
Please purchase a fishing license before the trip. You will also need to bring along food and drink. Lodging is not included in this trip, but the captain can tell you the best places to find reasonably priced accommodation.
Book now for an awesome adventure that you won’t forget in a hurry. Become as legendary as the fish when you reel in these huge river monsters!
