Nothing beats an adventure in Texas. Don’t believe it? Then book a trip with Snook On A Hook today. Spend the day with Captain Mark, an experienced captain who has been fishing since he was 5 years old! Since then, he has been featured in fishing magazines and has also been on fishing TV shows. He’ll get you on the fish in no time.

Hop on board his 17’ flats boat. This boat can comfortably fit 3 anglers on board and is equipped with full safety and navigational gear. It can easily reach those hard to reach shallow areas, getting you right on top of the Redfish and others.

You’ll be fishing for Speckled Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and Black Drum. These are great fish to catch on conventional gear for beginners, but more experienced anglers will enjoy targeting them on the fly. Let the captain know before the trip if you’d like him to bring his fly fishing equipment. Capt. Mark builds his own rods and flies!

Children are welcome to join these trips but must be over 5 years of age. There are life vests on board for them. Beginners are also encouraged to come along and will have a great time fishing with Capt. Mark and his son, who is the first mate on these trips.

Included in the price of the trips are the rods and reels, whether these are conventional rods or fly fishing gear. The captain will also fillet your catch for you after the trip – have a cooler with ice in the car to transport your catch home in. There is also water on board for you.

You’re welcome to bring other snacks and drinks with you. It’s recommended that you bring a packed lunch on the full day trip – fishing will work up an appetite! You should also bring a towel along. You will need to buy a fishing license before the trip begins.

Book a trip today with Snook On A Hook for an unforgettable day out with a great captain! Capt. Mark can’t wait to welcome you on board.

Captain Mark has been fishing his whole life – he took up the sport at the age of five and has been hooked since. Together with his dad, Mark would regularly go fishing around the freshwater streams of California. He has been featured in various magazines and fishing TV shows. It's no secret that Capt. Mark knows where the best fishing grounds are. He is the president of the Laguna Madre Fly Fishing Association, and needless to say is a specialist in the art of fly fishing. He likes having people on the boat and helping them get on the fish.
