Captain Ron Howell - HydraSport 21’
Captain Ron Howell’s Guide Services invites you on a fishing trip around the backcountry waters of St. Augustine in search for some fine inshore species. Fishing here is great, Captain Ron’s boat is reliable, and the fish are both tasty and feisty.
Captain Ron has been fishing these waters for the past three decades. When you go on a trip with him, you can expect a friendly and relaxing atmosphere that will make your fishing pleasant. Captain Ron gladly takes on both novice anglers and pro fishermen. He can accommodate families with kids and likes teaching the young ones the virtues of fishing — patience, sportsmanship, and conservation. If you’re looking for accommodation, Captain Ron can help you to that end.
When fishing aboard 21’ Hydra flats boat, you will be exploring the inshore waters, looking for Snook, Redfish, Trout, Tarpon, and Shark, or you can also explore the Gulf for some Cobia, Trippletail, Black Drum, and Permit. Fishing is solid year round, but it’s best to consult with the captain as to what you may expect to catch on your desired date. These species are either hard fighter or purely mouth-watering table fare.
The boat can take up to four anglers, although it might be the most comfortable with three people onboard. You and your group will have the boat to yourselves. The boat has a 150 HP Yamaha engine and is equipped with GPS system. She also stores the required safety gear as well as an ice box.
When you pack for the trip, make sure to bring food and drinks. You will also want to have a camera by your side, as well as sunblock, a cap, sunglasses, and comfortable clothes. Captain Ron will supply Quantum and Penn reels, along with Star rods and bait, and will take care of the fishing license.
If you’re more up to big game fishing, just scroll down and click on Captain Ron’s name to see the spots left on his center console that explores the Gulf waters.
