Reel Life Fishing Charters

Reel Life Fishing Charters offers sportfishing adventures in the local San Diego waters and beyond. From the shallow waters nearshore to the Coronado Islands, and the deep seas of the Pacific, you’ll explore them all. Fish state, federal, and even Mexican waters, as you go after some prized and delicious fish during your day out.

Growing up on an island, Captain Daniel Lecuna was handed a rod as soon as he was old enough to hold one. He has a lifetime of experience fishing, and promises to share his expertise with you.

Step aboard the beautiful 31’ Boston Whaler offshore sportfishing vessel and start living. Up to 5 guests are welcome aboard the spacious vessel that boasts an air-conditioned cabin, fitted with bunks, a kitchen, TV, and private toilet. She promises a smooth ride to sea, so you’re invited to make yourself at home. Just make sure to bring your own drinks and snacks to stay refreshed.

Wherever you go, you’re in for a thrilling experience as you try bottom fishing, trolling, popping, and even kite fishing to entice the bit of your target fish. If you’d like to go spearfishing or bowfishing, let your captain know and he can arrange that too, provided you bring your own gear.

If you’re looking for something delicious to take back to shore, then Rockfish, Yellowtails, Tuna, Dorado, Seabass, Calico Bass, and Sheephead will provide a culinary delight. For those wanting the catch of a lifetime, then Marlin, Wahoo, and many more monster fish are also available! Whatever you target, you’ll be made to work hard to hook your fish aboard!

With tournament-grade tackle awaiting you on board, there’s not much left for you to do but come aboard. Just make sure to grab your California and Mexican fishing licenses, and don’t forget your passports and you’re good to go.

Capt. Daniel and Reel Life Fishing Charters are calling you aboard to engage in some of the best fishing the West Coast has to offer!

I grew up on an island in the Caribbean. My life was surrounded by water and the ocean my playground. I got my first taste at fishing when I was 5 years old handlining the bottom fish from a small 12' panga. My dad ended up getting a bigger boat when I was 10 years old and that's when I elevated my fishing game. I had access to the rich fishing grounds of the Caribbean waters and started fishing for pelagic fish like Tuna, Sailfish, Billfish, Swordfish, Wahoo, and Bonito, to name a few. My vacations were spent fishing, my weekends were spent fishing, and every spare time I had I'd be in the water fishing. My passion carried over when I moved to San Diego 20 years ago, and I started fishing in the rich local waters. I now want to share my experience and the love of fishing with other people and give them memories to last a lifetime!
