The captain of this boat transferred us to another boat due to engine problems with his boat. That all went well, although the crew of the other boat, Good Day, initially wanted the $700 balance in cash but were eventually allowed by the owner to take a credit card.
We had a blue marlin on the line within 5 minutes of putting bait in the water, and fought it for an hour and a half. Unfortunately, there was too much lightning to stay put and the seas were getting a little rough (my family was on board), so I decided to release the fish and head back to Quepos.
It was definitely an exciting trip, and everyone had a chance to fight a big fish, so we were satisfied. The weather didn’t cooperate, but the crew was excellent and the fishing truly could not have been any better.

Hooked and brought to the boat sailfish. We wanted to catch some mahi mahi to eat but weren’t able to. Watch for hidden fees.

After doing a good search on several captains in Costa Rica I decided on Steve and sure glad I did! His team made easy from booking to even transportation from Los Suenos as where I stayed. Only to find out they all travel to Quepos to fish. They will organize transport an is nice with travel WIFI! We got to his spot and his fishing technique is off the hook, I have never seen it and I fish from a Trinidad,Grenada, St.Lucia! I won’t share this is so book a trip with the FISHMASTER and you will be satisfied. Oh BTW we landed and released 12 sails by 2 pm so book the day trip and Pura Vida! I can’t wait till my next trip!!
