You’ll be fishing from a 23’ Dorado bay boat, outfitted with state-of-the-art electronics, safety gear, and fishing tackle. You and 3 other guests will be able to fish at the same time, and kids of all ages are welcome aboard. Capt. Ben provides his clients with top-of-the-line Daiwa rods and Avet reels so you can get the best quality experience while you fish.
Goliath Grouper is the main target on all of Capt. Ben’s trips. It’s his favorite fish to catch due to its huge size and confidence. Goliath Grouper are very curious and they don’t hesitate to approach the boat whatsoever. A typical catch can weigh anywhere from 200 to 500 pounds and can even get up to 700 pounds! They’ll fight back with everything they got, and are perhaps one of the most powerful species in the world.
These trips are strictly catch and release, so be sure to bring a camera so you can snap tons of pictures before letting the Grouper go. Also, be sure to bring some snacks and drinks, as well as sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Everything else will be covered.
