You won’t have to travel too far to reach some of the diverse fisheries off the coast of Alvor. It’ll take you 45 minutes until you can start hooking offshore pelagics such as Mahi Mahi and Tuna. In just 20 minutes, you’ll be bottom fishing over reefs to target Conger Eel, Triggerfish, Dentex, Common Pandora, and John Dory.
On longer trips, you’ll be able to battle against apex predators, such as Mako and Blue Shark, while shorter trips will see you targeting local favorites such as Gilt-head and European Seabass. No matter which trip you choose, Capt. Luis will provide top-notch tackle, made by Penn, Daiwa, and Tica, so you can fish like a pro.
Your fishing license is also covered, so just be sure to bring a valid photo ID, and you’re all set. Capt. Luis also keeps water, juice, and beer on board, but feel free to bring snacks and store them in his cooler.
