Get ready to explore the Core Banks barrier islands with Cape Lookout Charters! Captain Dave Dietzler is an expert in a wide range of techniques and he’s fished just about every honey hole along North Carolina’s rugged coast. He offers charters for anglers from all levels of experience and invites you to join him for a fun day of fishing!
Your vessel for the day is a 23’ Maycraft center console. She’s the perfect boat for fishing inlets and shallow waters, as well as nearshore reefs and wrecks. She comes with state-of-the-art electronics, safety gear, downriggers, a fighting chair, and live bait tank. You and 3 other guests will be able to fish at the same time and kids of all ages are welcome aboard.
Capt. Dave also provides top-of-the-line Star rods and reels, as well as fly fishing equipment and snorkeling gear. Please note that 2 people can fly fish at the same time and 4 can snorkel. Both activities are available on every trip and included in the price. Just let the captain know in advance and he’ll accommodate your trip based on your preferences.
You’ll target a number of inshore and nearshore species, including Cobia, Redfish, Sheepshead, Flounder, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and more. Depending on what you’re targeting, you’ll be doing a bit of trolling, jigging, popping, or spinning. Bait and lures will also be supplied and are covered in the price as well.
Capt. Dave provides both walk-on and private trips, so if you can’t find enough people to join you can always choose the shared trip option. No matter which option you choose, you’ll have your catch cleaned and filleted free of charge so you can go home and enjoy a delicious meal with the family!
Everything else is taken care of, including your fishing license. Feel free to bring snacks and drinks, and make sure to pack some sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Book your trip today and get ready for Cape Lookout Charters to show you a great time!
