Complete your sun-drenched Costa Rica adventure by jumping on board one of the Lopez brothers’ fishing machines! Captains Alex and Alexis run a fleet of vessels out of the Herradura area, and can’t wait to introduce you to the plentiful waters of the central Pacific Ocean. Join them for an exciting excursion, where you’ll be casting off for big game species and delicious bottom-dwellers in no time.
Your captains have been fishing these waters ever since they were kids, so they have plenty of local experience to share with you. They like to joke that they’ve spent more of their lives at sea than on land – and always with a line or two in the water! On your trip, you’ll be fishing with either of the brothers. Either way, you can be sure that you’ll be welcomed warmly!
You’ll be traveling on board a 30’ USA classic vessel. She can accommodate up to 4 guests, so bring along your best angling buddies for some friendly competition? Want to make this a family vacation to remember, instead? Your captains are more than happy to have little ones aboard, and will provide life jackets. In addition, your vessel is decked out with top-quality navigational and safety gear, so you know you’ll be in safe hands.
When it comes to the fishing on offer, your captains know all the hottest spots around. They’ll have you trolling for big game species such as Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Marlin, and Sailfish, or plumbing the depths of the ocean for tasty Grouper and Snapper. Let them know what you want to target! Want to mix up your trip? Head to Tortuga Island for some sightseeing, and even explore these waters from below by snorkeling.
Your captains will provide your fishing license and top-quality rods and reels, with Shimano being their preferred brand. If you’d like to snorkel, equipment will be included too – just let them know in advance. Then all you need to do is Alexis Lopez charters for a sun-drenched angling adventure!
