Owned and operated by Captain Bruce Pollock, Edge Charters has been in business for over 20 years. The goal of each of their trips is to put you on the fish as fast as possible and help you get as many of them in the boat as possible. Whether you’ve never fished before or are the most experienced fisherman around, the captain promises to do all he can to provide you with an awesome fishing experience!
Depending on your preference, you can either catch and release or keep your catch. Any catch you keep, the captain will happily clean after the trip. You can even visit one of the many local restaurants that will prepare your catch for you, while you share fishing stories with your friends.
Your fishing trip takes place on a 24’ Dorado, powered by a 200 HP Mercury engine and capable of speeds up to 40 knots. She can accommodate up to 4 guests and is equipped with everything you need for a great day of fishing. Featuring a shallow draft and a stable fishing platform, the boat’s design makes it ideal for the local fishery, allowing you to follow the fish everywhere they go.
Kids all ages are welcome to join in on the trips and life jackets will be provided for guests of all ages. Additionally, you’ll be equipped with top-notch St. Lacroix and Star rods, and Shimano and Daiwa reels. Most of the time, you’ll be using live bait, which will always be prepared by the captain ahead of the trip at no extra cost.
Fly fishing has to be arranged in advance and all equipment will be provided, but some prior experience with the technique is required.
Although fishing licenses are included in the price, there is an additional fee for the Everglades National Park of $30 per boat. Things you should pack for the trip are sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, snacks, and drinks.
Now find an opening in the captain’s calendar, book your next fishing adventure, and remember: “If you’re not on the Edge, you’re taking up too much space!”
