We had a great time on the boat this morning with Captain Ryan.  My 11 year old son and I went out for our first true charter experience and it was great.  We brought home loads of Spadefish, and had a great time bringing them onboard!  Captain Ryan is very professional and knows the area waters well. He takes care of everything and as newer fishermen we felt very safe and secure.  He even gave us some extra Spanish Mackrel to bring home with us.  My son’s first words after we got off the boat was “that was awesome”, and I have to agree.  If you’re in the Cape Charles area, be sure to look up Captain Ryan and Steady Tuggin.

We had a great day on the bay.  My 8 year old son, father in law and myself went out to celebrate Father’s Day.  It was my son’s first charter experience.  He is already asking about our next trip on Steady Tuggin.  Captain Ryan is a first class guy, which made the trip great.  Ryan got us hooked on a Cobia early in the morning and the Cobia was a 1.5 inches under 40, so we released.  We had a few more solid bites (cobia) that we got close to boat.  Between a few sharks, rays, and skate, the lines stayed tight all morning.  We spotted cobia throughout day and just couldn’t get them on board, but Captain Ryan was determined and we attempted many times to spot and cast while heading back for the day. We even spotted a grouping of Red’s and a handful of Cobia (which we attempted to lure in on artificial baits).  Captain Ryan was kind enough to share some of his catch from the previous day, so we were able to cook some fresh Cobia on our last night in Cape Charles.  I highly recommend Captain Ryan and Steady Tuggin- great fisherman, knowledgeable and determined to get you fish.  We will look to book again when we return next year if not sooner!

This was the best day. He took us to different places to do different types of fishing…Citation red drum, Spanish mackerel, flounder. It was great. Also Ryan is very experienced and taught us many techniques. We highly recommend Ryan and Steady Tuggin

We had a lot of fun on the charter even though the winds weren’t cooperating.  But Ryan stayed aware of the situation and adjusted so that we could catch fish.

We had a great time with Ryan. He was very personable and made everyone feel comfortable. We took my grandson and his friend, who were both excited to catch sting rays and sharks. Ryan is clearly very experienced!
