Flagler Fishing Charters
Join Flagler Fishing Charters on one of their trips and experience the excitement of quietly creeping through skinny backcountry waters in search of some of the most prized fish out there! Your guide for the day is Rob Ottlein. He’s experienced in various fishing techniques, and if you’re looking to test out your fly fishing skills, this is the right charter for you.
His vessel is a 17’ Action Craft skiff equipped with a 115 HP Yamaha outboard. Additionally, the boat has a Minn Kota trolling motor that will allow you to navigate to hard-to-reach spots. The boat can accommodate up to 3 anglers aboard. Children joining in on the trips need to be ages 5 and up.
There is a large variety of species you can choose to target on the trip you decide to book. Some of the most popular fish available to anglers are Snook, Trout, Redfish, Flounder, and even Tarpon. However, these are certainly not the only fish swimming around in these waters, so you may occasionally run across Jack Crevalle, Ladyfish, Mangrove Snapper and more! Depending on the season and trip, different species will be easier to find, but your guide will always make sure you bend some rods.
Flagler Fishing Charters will provide you with the necessary fishing licenses and equipment. This includes light tackle spinning gear, either with live or artificial bait. However, if you’d like to try your hand at baitcasting or fly fishing, top of the line equipment will be provided per your request. Your guide, Rob, will even provide you with his hand-tied flies to give you the best chance at a bite.
All you need to do is dress for the season and weather, and bring sunglasses (preferably polarized), sunscreen, and your choice of snacks and drinks. Then you’ll be ready to go after the catch of a lifetime!
