Sarasota Reef Charters

Captain Nick of Sarasota Reef Charters is inviting you to come along for a fantastic fishing and cruising trip that you’ll remember for years to come. Everyone’s welcome, whether you’re a group of experienced anglers chasing a trophy catch or a family looking to spend some quality time in nature, the captain will be as accommodating as possible to cater to your needs.

Your boat for the day is a 27’ ProKat twin hull center console, powered by dual 175 HP Suzuki outboards. The boat is fully licensed with State and Federal Permits allowing reef or migratory fishing up to 50 miles offshore. Both a fast and exceptionally stable vessel, you’ll be impressed with its size and comfort. Up to 6 anglers can fish at the same time, with 4 being the preferred group size. The charter is also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your dog along for the trip.

The captain’s primary concern is the safety of all his customers so every trip starts with a safety check. After that, you’ll cruise up to 30 miles offshore, depending on the fish you’re targeting. Captain Nick specializes in bottom fishing for Snapper, Grouper, and other delicacies of the Gulf, but he’s always on the lookout for any surprises that the waters hold! You’ll have access to Penn rods and reels as well as live and artificial bait all included in the price.

Bottled water and light snacks will also be provided on all trips. You’re welcome to bring any other food and drinks you’d like and you’ll be able to store them in a designated cooler on board. Your fishing license is also included in the price meaning the only things you need to remember to bring are your sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, and a cooler for your catch and you’re ready to meet Captain Nick on the water!

I was a Navy Nuclear Submarine Officer and recently retired from my career managing nuclear power electric generation plants. As such, I operate my fishing and sightseeing charter business with the highest level of professionalism and safety standards. You and your family or friends are in good hands with me as your captain. Boating and fishing have been a lifelong hobby and passion. Having moved multiple times throughout my career, I have boating and fishing experience in the Atlantic (New Jersey), Lake Ontario (New York), Lake Erie (Ohio), and the Gulf of Mexico (Sarasota, Florida) where I retired to. I am now able to truly enjoy my lifelong hobby and share my passion through my charter boating and fishing business. To ensure the highest quality and that your charter will be an adventure to remember, I have partnered with a first mate that was a prior boat captain and together we have over 25 years of experience fishing these waters. All this at a very competitive rate.
