Super Fly Charters can’t wait to take you on a professional and friendly guided fishing trip. Captain John Coppola is based in the area known as the Kennebec watershed. His main targets are Stripers and Bluefish, which he hunts on the rocky coast and the broad reach of the Kennebec River. Full of untouched mud and sand flats, this is a flats fisherman’s nirvana!
The season starts in late May when the coast gets invaded by an abundance of Striped Bass that pour into these waters. By July, Bluefish come along, with incredible surface “blitzes” happening regularly. August often sees the arrival of Bluefin Tuna. September and October offer astonishing action for all 3 types of fish.
Capt. John welcomes you to join him on his 21’ Parker center console. The “Super Fly” accommodates up to 6 guests. There can be 4 rods in the water for regular casting, while only 2 people can fly fish at the same time. This boat is fully equipped with 2 fishfinders, GPS chart plotters, VHF radios, a cell phone, and all USCG required safety equipment.
Capt. John’s fishing tactics include fly fishing, live baiting, casting popping plugs, soft plastics, and metal jigs with spinning rods. He also uses specialized “butterfly” jigging techniques. In addition to this, he’ll supply you with all the necessary tackle.
Come and join Super Fly Charters for a chance to land the fish of a lifetime. Capt. John can adjust each trip to your needs and skill level. As these exciting trips are very popular, make sure to book your spot on time!
