Ice fishing season is December through March. (Ice Season varies on seasonal weather & temperatures) Ice fishing trips take place on Dowdy Lake & West Lake in Red Feather Lakes, Boyd Lake & Lon Hagler Res in Loveland. Trophy Trout Ice Fishing Trips take place at one of the lakes near Walden Co (Lake John, Delaney Butte Lakes). Since the fishing spots change, he’ll be in touch with you regarding the exact fishing location & meeting point. You’ll reach the lake by car and then go on foot on the ice to the fishing spot.

Once there, the captain will set up the ice shack, drill some ice holes and then the fun begins. Your main targets will be Rainbow Trout & Brown Trout. You are welcome to catch & release or keep a few to cook & eat.

Since you’ll be on a frozen lake, warm clothing goes without saying. The captain provides an ice shelter with a heater, all ice fishing equipment, and safety equipment for a fun day of ice fishing. You also need to purchase your fishing license before the trip and bring food and drinks for the day.
