RockenReel Sportfishing has a trip with your name on it along the stunning waters of Dana Point. Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Steven knows them forwards and back.

Amberjack, Pacific Barracuda, Calico Bass, California Sheephead, Dolphin Mahi Mahi, Halibut, Rockfish, White Seabass, Mako Shark, Thresher Shark, Yellowfin Tuna, Bluefin Tuna, and more are in the cards if conditions are right. On the day of your trip you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle. Capt. Steven can also have you kite fishing.

Capt. Steven welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so go ahead and bring the whole family along!

You’ll be fishing aboard a spacious 47’ Jersey Convertible. While the vessel can carry up to 30 passengers, for safety and to ensure the best experience, trips are limited to a maximum of 6 guests. There’s a toilet on board for your convenience. You’ll find rods, reels, tackle, along with lures waiting for you.

There will be a First Mate on board to help your trip run smoothly. Mates work hard to make your trip count, so a 10–20% tip is customary.

A local fishing license is required for all passengers aged 14 and older and must be purchased online before the trip.

Some essentials to bring are a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). There will be some soft drinks, bottled water, and light snacks provided, but let the captain know if you wish to bring your own. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but try to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles.
