Are you looking for a fun-filled family day out? Or are you a seasoned pro looking to catch a huge Yellowfin Tuna? Whatever your background, Xtreme Fishing Charters has the perfect trip for you. You’ll be spending the day with Captain Dave, who began fishing as a kid. He’s been a skipper now for over 4 decades, most of which were spent going after Tuna – he’ll get you hooked on a big Tuna before you know it!
Hop on board the ‘Xtreme 2’, a 32’ offshore sportfishing boat, a beauty that can have 6 anglers fishing comfortably. This boat is outfitted with full safety and navigational features, so you can concentrate fully on reeling in that trophy catch.

You can choose to go inshore fishing for Snoek and Yellowtail or head 40 miles offshore for Yellowfin Tuna. Inshore fishing is better suited for families with children over 8; don’t worry, life vests are provided for the little ones. Offshore trips require a 2-hour ride out, and are great for experienced anglers aiming to reel in a giant fish.
Everything you need for a successful fishing trip is included in the price. The captain will provide rods and reels from Shimano and Tiagra, as well as sandwiches and drinks. Your insurance and licence for the day are also included, as well as the cleaning of your catch after the trip. If you wish to release your catch instead, there is an additional charge of 5000 ZAR.
If you wish to spearfish, you’ll need to bring your own gear. Everyone should bring a light jacket for the cold mornings, as well as sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Flip flops are not allowed on board for your own safety.
There’s no better time to head to South Africa and reel in a beauty! Book a trip with Xtreme Fishing Charters today and let Capt. Dave show you the joys of fishing here!
