Xtreme Fishing Charters – Onsprey
It’s time to book that trip you’ve always dreamed of to South Africa. Head to Cape Town and spend a day fishing with Xtreme Fishing Charters, a charter company that focuses on their customers’ enjoyment, giving you a day you’ll never forget! You’ll be fishing with the experienced Captain Mike.
Captain Mike has fished all over the world, both recreationally and in competitions, but still finds his local waters to be some of the best available. He’s been the captain of the ‘Onsprey’ for the past 2 decades and will get you on top of the fish and reeling in a trophy catch in no time.
The ‘Onsprey’ is a 45’ offshore sportfishing boat that can easily have groups of 8 anglers fishing from her. Whether you’re booking a family vacation, celebrating one of life’s milestones, or team building, there is a fish out here with your name on it. This boat has 4 sleeping bunks, a private restroom, kitchen, and full safety and navigational gear.
Families with children over 8 will enjoy going on the inshore fishing trip. This gives you the opportunity to target Snoek, Yellowtail, and a range of other species at Cape Point or Robben Island.
Anglers with good sea legs will love going after giant Yellowfin Tuna 40 nautical miles from shore. This can take up to 2 hours to get to, so make sure you take your seasickness pills the night before if needed.
Included in the price are top quality rods and reels from Shimano and Tiagra. The groups fishing licence and insurance are also provided, along with food and drinks for the day. The captain will clean your catch after the trip. If you wish to release your catch, there is an additional cost of 5000 ZAR.
You’ll only need to bring a jacket, sunscreen, sunglasses, and spearfishing gear if you wish to spearfish. Please don’t wear flip flops on board.
