Operating out of Lorain, Ohio, Reel Eyez Sportfishing is inviting anglers looking for a fun and productive day on Lake Erie to join one of their trips. Captain Mike Hluszti has been fishing the lake for decades and is very knowledgable about the local fishery. He’ll know which spots to visits and which techniques to employ to produce the best results for his guests.
Your vessel for the trip will be a 25’ Albemarle cuddy cabin boat, powered by a 300 HP Volvo engine. Although it’s not the boat’s max capacity, Mike takes up to 3 people fishing, in order to ensure everyone’s comfort on the trip. Onboard, you’ll find a portable toilet and all the necessary safety equipment. Additional equipment includes GPS and fishfinder, to put you on the fish as fast as possible.
Captain Mike Hluszti invites anglers of all skill levels to join him on the water. He enjoys teaching novice anglers and kids how to fish better and finds it rewarding to see them put those skills to use right away. Young ones joining in on the trips need to be over 12 years old and will be provided with the appropriate life jackets.
Reel Eyes Sportfishing specializes in catching Walleye and will equip all guests with the best gear for the task. You’ll be using Daiwa and Stinger gear, as well as Bandits and Reef Runner, lures. If you’re using live bait, it will also be supplied and is always included in the price.
You’ll only need to bring a valid fishing license, which can be purchased online, snacks, and drinks. The captain asks for all guests to show up at the meetup spot 10-15 minutes prior to departure. Parking is free and there are several convenience stores that open early, within a mile of the boat ramp.
So if you’re ready for a trip up North and are already getting excited imagining your next great catch at the Great Lakes, check the captain’s calendar and book a trip right away!
