Join Captain Jeffrey Holland for a fishing adventure on the pristine waters of the Lower Keys. The Captain prides himself on providing customers with an easy-going, low-pressure trip, while still making sure that you have all of the best shots at your target species. Feelin’ Fishy Charters specializes in fly fishing and are happy to work with anglers of all skill levels.
Your boat for the trip will be an 18’ Beavertail flats boat, powered by a 60 HP Suzuki outboard, capable of taking up to 2 guests. On board, you’ll find all the necessary electronics and safety equipment as well as a cooler for drinks. If you’d like to keep your catch you’ll have a cooler for the catch as well, just be sure to consult with your captain that the species you’d like to target is not catch-and-release only. The boat’s also equipped with a poling platform that will allow you to quietly glide over those skinny waters.
On all trips, you’ll have access to top-tier fly fishing equipment including Temple Fork and TFO rods, Hatch reels, and SA line. For spin fishing, you’ll also have TFO rods and Penn reels. All trips can be customized to some degree by consulting with the captain, so if you’d like to try out multiple techniques or target a specific species it can all be arranged. You could even try spearfishing or spend a part of your trip snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters — just make sure to let the captain know ahead of time so that he can have all the necessary gear ready.
Fishing licenses, as well as live bait, are all also included in the price. Kids of all ages are welcome to join in on the trip, just remember to let the captain know to bring the appropriate life vests. All the gear you should bring is your sunglasses, your choice of drinks and snacks, and sunscreen.
The last thing left to do is set aside a day for your next fishing adventure in the stunning Lower Keys!
