Xtreme Fishing Charters – Princess
It’s time to head down to Cape Town for an unforgettable fishing adventure with Xtreme Fishing Charters. These guys have multiple boats to choose from, with a collection of capable captains at the helm. These guys have decades and decades of experience between them and will do everything they can to get you on the fish and having an unforgettable time.
The day will be spent on ‘Princess’, a 57’ offshore sportfishing boat that can easily have 12 anglers on board. This boat is decked out with safety and navigational features, has 2 private restrooms, and a kitchen. Looking for a smaller boat? Click on the captains’ bio below and see the other boats they have in their fleet.
When fishing with Xtreme Fishing Charters, you have the option of fishing inshore for Snoek and Yellowtail or heading 40 miles offshore for Yellowfin Tuna. When fishing inshore, you’ll head over to Cape Point or Robben Island. This is great fun for families, beginners, and children – kids over 8 are welcome on board and will have life vests provided for them.
Offshore fishing is all about the huge Yellowfin Tuna. It will take around 2 hours to get to the fishing grounds, so make sure you pack your seasickness pills if you need them. Going after these giants is great fun for more experienced anglers.
Included in the price of the trip are rods and reels from Shimano and Tiagra. These won’t let you down when reeling in your trophy catch. The captain will provide crisps, cold drinks, and homemade sandwiches on all trips. Your fishing licence and insurance are also included in the price of the trip. The catch will be cleaned for you, but there is a 5000 ZAR cost to release the fish.
You’ll need to bring a jacket for the cooler mornings, sunglasses, sunscreen, and spearfishing gear if you want to spearfish. Please don’t wear flip flops on board! White-soled deck shoes are perfect footwear.
