West Coast Ocean Charters have access to some of the best Salmon and Halibut fishing areas on the west coast of Vancouver Island. For guests who enjoy sightseeing, this will also be a great opportunity to get a glimpse of some rare sea and land creatures. This area is the home of blacktail deer, sea lions, sea otters, blue heron, black bears, wolves, and bald eagles. Captain Brent guides fishing trips with expertise and he always makes sure his guests have an amazing time.
Ucluelet, BC, where the charter is based, has an abundance of bait, such as squid, herring, and anchovies, which creates terrific conditions for the Salmon population. You’ll be able to catch Chinook, Coho, Pink, and Sockeye Salmon by trolling, or go jigging for Lingcod and Halibut.
A proven West Coast design, the captain’s 24’ Sea Ray cuddy cabin provides a comfortable ride for everyone on board. The boat has a high gunnel, which is perfect for offshore trolling or cruising among the islets of Barkley Sound. She’s fully equipped with navigation and safety gear, as well as an onboard toilet. The boat accommodates up to 3 guests.
Kids of all ages are welcome on half-day trips since you’ll stay along the coastline. For full-day trips, they need to be at least 10 years old, since the trips are longer and you’ll go up to 20 miles offshore.
Your fishing equipment, lures, and bait are included in the price. If you want to keep the catch, the captain will clean it after the trip for no extra charge. You only need to purchase your fishing license and bring snacks and drinks for the day.

Customers can cancel or modify their booking up to 14 days before the trip date free of charge. If the trip is canceled or modified later, or in the event of a no-show, 100% of the deposit will be charged.
