Captain Jason Rose welcomes you to join him on board Jrose Outdoors charters for a trip along the plentiful Muskegon River. Capt. Jason has been fishing the waters of Michigan for his entire life, and runs a variety of charters exploring the area’s various fisheries. On this adventure, you’ll be going after the King of all freshwater fish – the Chinook Salmon!
Capt. Jason welcomes up to 2 guests to join him on board his 18’ custom aluminum fishing vessel. She’s the perfect choice when it comes to cruising the Muskegon River, and will give you a taste of what traditional freshwater fishing is really all about. You’ll meander your way down these waters, drift or fly fishing for some huge Kings. The river is also rich with Trout species, so you might end up with a surprise at the end of your line!
On board your captain’s vessel, you’ll find GPS, fishfinder, and life jackets in a variety of sizes. Capt. Jason welcomes guests of varying ages and skill levels to join him, so bring along your best angling buddy, or make this a father/son trip to remember. If you’re newer to angling, your captain will show you how to master your chosen technique, as well as giving you some local tips and tricks.
You can opt to drift fish for huge Salmon, or fly fish. Your captain will provide the fishing gear for both convetional and fly fishing, but keen fly fishermen can feel free to bring their favorite gear. You’ll be using artificial bait to hook your catch and, once it’s reeled in, Capt. Jason will happily clean and fillet it for you. That way, you can enjoy the fruits of your labor as a delicious meal!
Before your trip, make sure you purchase a valid Michigan fishing license, and any snacks or drinks you’d like to bring along. All this fishing will have you working up an appetite. Then you just need to climb aboard Jrose Outdoors, and get ready for a slice of freshwater fishing escapism on the Manistee River!
