Jaro Guiding – Åland
Fishing is a way of life on the Åland Islands, and you’re invited to be a part of this famous, productive tradition with Jaro Guiding. Come aboard during summer and target a range of exciting and delicious fish on some of Europe’s greatest fishing grounds.
You’ll be led by a local professional guide, Captain Jakob Rosenqvist. A passionate angler since childhood, he’s now made a career out of his hobby, and loves nothing more than getting out on the water and hopes to leave an impression on you, as he takes you to some of the most scenic spots imaginable.
Up to 3 guests are welcome aboard the 17’ custom-built center console to discover the riches of the brackish inshore and the productive waters of the Gulf of Bothnia. You’ll want for nothing throughout your stay on board, as Capt. Jakob will put your comfort first. Teas, coffees, and snacks will be provided on all trips, with a hearty meal on longer outings. Settle in for true Åland hospitality, all the while tackling some prized fish.
Speaking of the fish, you’ll be going up against some of the most sought-after creatures in the sea. Test your bottom fishing and jigging skills when fishing inshore for delicious Pike, Perch, and Trout. These beauties are synonymous with fishing in Åland, so get ready to land some for a tasty treat at the end of the day.
The more adventurous among you may relish the chance to go trolling for Salmon. Get in touch with your captain and he can arrange a Salmon-specific trip, as you push your skills and strength to the limit to land these prized creatures.
