Captain Edie Mora has been fishing these waters his whole life and knows all the best spots to get you hooked up. He invites you to come experience the true meaning of “Pura Vida,” catch trophy fish, and enjoy one of the most stunning coastlines in the world!
You’ll be fishing off of a 25’ Hydrasport center console, equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, fishing equipment, and safety gear. She comes with outriggers, downriggers, a live bait tank, and a fish box for your catch. You’ll also have a cooler for food and drinks, a porta-potty, and a shower. The deck accommodates 5 guests and kids of all ages are welcome to join in on the action.
You’ll head out from Coco Beach to some of Costa Rica’s most productive fishing grounds. Depending on the package you choose, you’ll either fish inshore within the Papagayo Gulf or further out into the Pacific. You can also choose to combine inshore and offshore fishing by choosing Capt. Edie’s 6-hour trip.
Some of your inshore targets will include Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, African Pompano, Sierra Mackerel, and Cubera Snapper. Offshore, you’ll have the opportunity to reel in’ A-listers such as Blue and Striped Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack, Yellowtail Amberjack, and Broomtail Grouper.
You’ll be provided with top-quality rods and reels, live bait, and lures. Your captain will also help you with purchasing a fishing license if you’re not sure where to go. Otherwise, you can buy one online or at a local FECOP office.
Snacks and beverages are included, as well as catch cleaning and filleting services. Just grab a towel and some sunscreen and arrive at the pickup location on time, and the rest will be taken care of.
