On a recent nearshore trip clients were having a blast with "cuda tubes" These are a lure commonly used for barracuda. All of a sudden Alex hooked up on the 2500 reel. This fish was OUTTA here. Dumping nearly the entire reel. He won though, and on 15lb line! Catching up to this fish and getting it boat side to discover it wasn't a barracuda but a HUGE king mackerel that was on the end of his line. That's one to take home for the smoker. We didn't weigh his catch but estimated well over 40lbs.
