Your guide for the day will be Wayne Ramsden, an expert on local Carp and Catfish fishing. He will train you in all the different aspects of fishing to maximize how successful you’ll be. You’ll learn about casting, fishing lines, different bait, preservation, and fishing in different types of spots. We take you to various fishing spots within the western cape.
On all trips, you’ll be able to target both the mighty African Catfish and the shy Carp. Catfish is a highly invasive species in this area and its release is not recommended. Customers can instead choose to donate it to a local charity. Carp, on the other hand, is generally released. Whichever species you end up targeting, the guide’s goal is to have you catch your personal best fish on this trip.
Cape Town Carp and Catfish Tours welcome anglers of all skill levels and ages. All guests will be provided with top-notch Penn and Okuma gear, comfortable chairs to fish from or relax under a gazebo, blankets, and a cooler full of cold drinks and snacks. Fishing permits are also included in the price so no need to worry about getting one ahead of time.
The guide will pick you up from anywhere within a 10 km radius from the specified location and will provide you with free parking if you decide to drive yourself. In addition to your guide, you’ll be accompanied by guards to protect you from wildlife.
