Capt. Dermin runs trips out of Placencia, which is home not only to the Placencia Flats but some incredible offshore and inshore fishing grounds. These waters are home to world-famous species, including Permit, Tarpon, Bonefish, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Tuna, Snappers, Groupers, Barracuda, Bonito and even Lobsters, Conch, and Crabs.

Capt. Dermin’s adventures are fully customizable. Whether you want to battle big game species 20-25 miles offshore, hook tasty table fare over the reefs, go on a lobstering adventure, or reel in Tarpon and Permit on the fly, anything is possible – just let your captain know. You can also mix up your lobstering adventure with some snorkeling, too.

No matter which adventure you opt for, you’ll be fishing from your captain’s 23’ Mexican Skiff, capable of accommodating up to 4 guests. This vessel is equipped with a livewell tank to keep your bait fresh and ready, as well as life jackets for all ages. 

There’s plenty of room on board for you to bring along your favorite fly or conventional fishing rods and reels. If you don’t own any, you can rent them from your captain at an additional cost. Drinks, snacks, and lunch are all included.

    This full day adventure is a great way to experience the best that Placencia's waters have to offer! Your trip is customizable, so let your captain know whether you want to head up to 40 miles out to battle Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo, hit the reefs for a variety of Snapper and Grouper species, or explore waters closer to shore. Bring along your own gear, or rent it from your captain for an additional cost. Snacks and drinks are included, so just bring along a fishing license.

Let’s go Deep Sea for the massive Wahoo’s, Marlin’s, Dorado’s or just switch it up a knotch and go out for that Grand Slam on hundreds of square miles of exquisite fishing grounds better known as The Permit Capital of the World. We also enjoy our family & group adventures where we snorkel at our World's Heritage Park Reef Sites. Mojo Caye is also one of my favorites. Activities there include Catch you own lobster and Island BBQ. As our guest imagine snorkeling on top of the biggest barrier reef in the world, gazing down on many luminous tropical fishes. Picture yourself dazzled,floating on crystal/ tourquise water.
