WIT Sportfishing Kenya – Shimoni

In the southeast corner of Kenya, the ocean-facing town of Shimoni is every angler’s paradise. Come and discover it aboard a professional fishing boat with Waterfords “Whatever IT Takes.” The experienced, dedicated crew promise a productive day to sea, as you hunt the Indian Ocean’s rich fishing grounds for some of the ocean’s biggest creatures.

Captain Nas Khan has been a passionate boater for decades, even building his own in 1994. He’s owned the 37’ Bertram offshore sportfishing boat since 2010, rUnning charters on it since 2012. A people-person, he promises to do his utmost to cater to your needs, and invites you to make yourself at home on board.

Take advantage of the air-conditioned cabin that comes fitted with a kitchen, bunk, and plenty of seating, while 4 people can fish at the same time on the spacious deck. The 3-man crew will make sure you want for nothing, with plenty of water and soft drinks available for free, and snacks and lunch at an extra charge.

When it comes to the fishing, the boat is fully geared up for a productive day out. Fitted with downriggers and outriggers, she’ll have you trolling a vast array of water. As soon as you hear the reels screech, why not settle into the fighting chair to give you the advantage over the fish at the end of your line?

You’ll need all the help you can get as Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Kingfish, Snappers, and Swordfish will do everything possible to get off the end of your line. Get ready for an intense workout to hook ‘em aboard, and fill the boat with some delicious meat to take back to shore for a delicious reward.

At the end of the day, the crew will clean and fillet your catch, and they can even take you to a nearby restaurant to enjoy the rewards of your hard work for just $5!  Waterfords “Whatever IT Takes” is what fishing dreams are made of. Come aboard and experience Kenyan hospitality, its thrilling fishing, and good company from dawn ‘til dusk!

A boating/Deep Sea Fishing hobby with my first Boat in 1988, culminating in building a 26’ boat in 1994, turned into Captain Nas buying a 37’ Bertram in 2010 and the rest is history. After plenty of people asked him whether he did charters, he gave it considerable consideration and has been running trips since 2012. With plenty of competition trophies to his name, he’s proud of his record and promises to show you" Whatever It Takes" to fill the boat with monster fish. Along with two mates, Capt. Nas will give you a helping hand to land that dream fish, sharing all his local knowledge with you.
