Planned a trip to Ensenada with five friends. Altogether we give a great rating for the crew and their knowledge to giving us a fair chance for fishing every type of fish.

We had a great time with our crew and received awesome praises from our beginners. Even if the odds were against us with 52 degrees water temperature and a rocky weather, we caught the only bonito tuna of the day according to Marco, 3 barracudas on the last couple of hours on our trip, 11 white fish, 7 rockfish, 3 halibut and 1 sheepshead.

I am grateful to have this crew for the day. I give them a five star review because of their experience, their commitment with preparation and assisting us with bait and an outgoing environment. Definitely a trip I would remember for the rest of my life.

Great day of fishing with Lucky Sportfishing!  My 5 year old grandson wanted to “catch a fish that he could eat”.  My wife and I were renting a house for a week near Ensenada and taking our daughter and family.  After looking at reviews on Ensenada sportfishing boats, I chose Lucky because of a great review on how they treated young children.  My grandson and his 2 sisters age 10 & 13 were coming along with my daughter.  My daughter & I have fished pangas in Baja before, but for the grandchildren it was a new experience.  The crew was very accommodating and patient.  We ended up with over a dozen nice-sized sand bass & calicos and the kids had a great time. One of the deckhands made up a plate of fresh sashimi with a few of the bass.  I highly recommend Lucky Sportfishing!

Excellent fishing trip.  It was a trip for my son and I.  Crew members are more than experienced and carefull for clients.  Captain knew every spots.  We troll and caugh over 12 big fishes besides the great variety of bottom fish.  Great experience for my son’s first trolling trip.  Guero was fast and did everything for us.  Excellent communication.  Highly recommended.

Booked a half-day trip for 5 fellas. We came in on a cruise ship that morning. Captain called me and said that morning is usually better weather than afternoon. Morning trips usually start at 7:00am but ship was not scheduled to arrive until 8:00am. Captain said “no problem, we will start when you get here”. Never had that offer before, great customer service. There were five of us fishing, Captain Jerk Bait, the boat captain/pilot, and an additional deck hand making 8 onboard total. The weather was great that morning so we requested more time and agreed on a VERY fair price. Landed multiple Bonitos in very short time, then headed for yellowtail ... and found them!  At one point we had 4 on at the same time: there were rods, hooks, lines, fish and fishermen running around everywhere on deck. By day’s end we landed a bunch of Bonitos, 12 Yellowtails, 1 Lingcod and the usual handful of escapees. A fantastic meal was prepared onboard that we enjoyed on the way back to the harbour. This was one of the best fishing day trips I have been on. Great weather, great fishing, great company, great crew. If ever back in Ensenada…definitely doing again.

Details to get to the boat was a little bit unclear, but we figured it out. We walked around the marina and the staff saw us. She took us to the boat. From there, it was a smooth ride towards the fishing area. We started trolling for bonito early in the morning. The bonito were biting within 30 mins, we filled up the cooler within 3 hours, then we did some rock fishing. The captain and his deckhand were AMAZING! My group of 8 guys had tons of fun. We’ll be booking this boat again the next time we go. The only thing I would like is lighter gear, so I can have more of a fight, but that’s just me. Because most of my group were first timers, they loved it.
