You’ll spend the day aboard the captain’s 18’ Hewes flats boat. This boat comes with a fighting chair, state-of-the-art electronics, fishing gear, and safety equipment to ensure a successful day on the water. She accommodates up to 3 guests, including children ages 7 and older, and everyone can fish at the same time.
Capt. Scotty will take you fishing along the grass flats and mangrove islands of Port Charlotte to target a range of species. Some of your top fishing areas include Punta Gorda, Charlotte Harbor, Boca Grande, and the Peace and Myakka Rivers.
You’ll have your hands full as you put up a fight against Bull Reds, Snook, Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Spotted Seatrout, and Jack Crevalle. Other target species include Cobia, Flounder, Tripletail, and anything else that takes the bait.
Top-of-the-line rods and reels are supplied on every trip, including fly fishing equipment. One person can fly fish at once and you’ll have a spacious deck to fish comfortably from. If it’s your first time, no need to worry, Capt. Scotty is an expert fly fisherman and he’ll take you through the process step-by-step.
Your fishing license and catch cleaning services are included in the price as well. All you have to bring is sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and some drinks and snacks. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your trip and get ready for an incredible adventure.
