The Future of Fishing – Punta de Mita
Join The Future of Fishing and get ready to explore the open Pacific with Captain Gregory Pilkington. Your captain for the day has years of experience fishing all over the world, from the Great Barrier Reef in New Zealand to the crystal blue waters of the Caribbean. You’ll have an internationally-experienced crew as well, with a tournament-style boat and modern technology to help you land the fish of your dreams!
You’ll be fishing off of a 30’ Egret performance sportfisher. This boat is fast, which means you’ll spend less time traveling and more time fishing. With its twin 300 HP Suzuki engines, you’ll reach some of the most productive fishing grounds in no time. Once you reach your destination, you’ll have a GPS, radar, and fishfinder to help put you on your target.
You’ll be using top-notch Gemlux outriggers to troll for big pelagic species and 2 Tuna tubes and a dual livewell to keep your bait nice and fresh. The boat takes up to 6 guests and children of all ages are welcome. And last but not least, there’s also a private head on board for when nature starts to call.
Capt. Greg offers a wide range of techniques on his trips, including fly fishing and kite fishing. All equipment is included and it’s mostly comprised of top-quality Shimano gear. There’s also snorkeling equipment available if you’d like to go for a dip.
Your main targets are big game fish, such as Marlin, Sailfish, Swordfish, Mahi Mahi, and Tuna. Other target species include Wahoo and various types of Grouper and Snapper. Fishing inshore will see you targeting beautiful fish, such as Bluefin Trevally, Roosterfish, Jack Crevalle, and African Pompano.
Your fishing license is covered, so just be ready to meet up at the pickup location and the rest will be taken care of. Snacks and drinks will also be provided, so all you need is some sun protection and you’re good to go.
