The boat you’ll be fishing from is an 18’ Hewes flats boat, powered by a 130HP Yamaha engine, capable of speeds up to 40 knots. The vessel’s versatile design makes it a great choice for exploring both the inshore and nearshore fishing grounds of Gulf Breeze. Equipped with top of the line electronics, all necessary safety equipment, and a polling platform, it will get you where the fish are safely and quickly.
The local fishery offers a diverse set of options when it comes to choosing the type of fishing you’d like to do. You can opt to try out the local flats fishing and visit the area’s grass beds and sandbars using live bait, artificial bait, and flies. Or you can visit the rock jetties, markers, pilings, and other shallow-water structures where the fish like to hide.
You’ll be equipped with top-notch gear including TFO rods and reels, Sage rods, Tibor reels for fly fishing and St. Croix rods for spinning gear, with Shimano or Quantum Cabo reels. All gear is provided for the customers, free of charge.
Things you should pack include non-spray-on sunscreen, sunglasses, shoes with non-marking soles or flip flops, and whatever snacks and drinks you’d like.
