Capt. Kyle Morella

Come and discover the riches of South Carolina’s Lowcountry with Capt. Kyle Morella. Born into a local family of fisherman, Capt. Kyle was hooked on fishing from a young age, and his passion has only grown over time. From mountain streams to the open oceans, he’s tried it all, settling on fly fishing and light tackle action in his home state.

Two guests are welcome aboard the 18’ Beaver flats boat. Specifically designed for fishing these waters, she’s light with a shallow hull, helping you to get to the skinniest of spots in search of monster fish.

You’re in for an active day at sea, not resting until you get on the fish. Capt. Kyle will take you across the flats to the productive spots, going after a range of tough-fighting fish. Tarpon, Redfish, and Spotted Seatrout are just some of the prized fish that call these waters home, and you’ll test your skills against all of them.

Whether you want to try fly fishing or spinning action with light tackle, Capt. Kyle has you covered. But he strongly recommends targeting Redfish on the fly, saying the thrill is like nothing else. He hopes to help you land one and head home with a smile on your face.

Everything you need for a productive day out will await you on board, including all the latest gear, but feel free to bring your own too. With your fishing license covered too, all you need to do before coming aboard is grab some drinks and snacks, don some shades, a hat, and lather up with sunscreen, and away you go!

Capt. Kyle Morella promises an inshore fishing adventure like never before. Come aboard and experience the buzz of fishing the flats!

A native to South Carolina, Captain Kyle grew up on the water. Born into a family of fishermen, he began fishing the Blue Ridge Mountains' streams at a young age, while also traveling as far afield as Alaska and the Bahamas. He followed his passion to the Carolina Lowcountry, becoming obsessed with sight fishing for Redfish. While at college, he'd spend his summers in the Lowcountry, traveling to the Florida Panhandle in search of Tarpon. Since leaving college, he's guided in Charleston, while spending the seasons in Florida, specializing in fly fishing and light tackle. A keen conservationist, he encourages catch and release, making sure there's plenty of fish to go around for years to come.
