Enjoy some productive fishing in the River Gambia, as well as the Atlantic Ocean offshore waters with Janneh Boating and Fishing Co! Depending on your wishes and ambitions, head into the river and fish in both salt and fresh water, or go a bit offshore and explore the deeper ocean.
Join your captain on Hanna1, the 25’ offshore sportfishing boat, and cruise the sea in search of some big game fish. The boat can accommodate up to 4 people, and they can all fish at the same time. There will also be a live bait tank on board, as well as coolers so you can store your food and drinks and keep them fresh.
Captain Amaro is a local experienced angler, so he’ll show you all the best spots in the area. He’ll provide you with Shakespeare, Goliath, and Penn equipment, and he’ll try to prepare live bait in advance. If you’d like to taste your catch, he’ll clean it and ask your hotel to prepare it for you.
You’ll head out to the deep offshore waters to target some of the big game fish in the area – Sailfish, Marlin, and Tuna. You can also try to reel in some Barracuda. Note that offshore trips can vary in price depending on how much ground you cover trolling, so make sure to ask your captain about the details. You can explore the River Gambia, and try to catch some Tarpon and Tigerfish as well.
There will be sandwiches and soft drinks provided for you, but note that alcohol isn’t allowed on the sea. Bring some sun protection, a towel, and a hat, so you can enjoy your day to the fullest, relaxing under the hot Gambian sun!
Decide on what type of fishing adventure you wish to experience, and come explore the beautiful waters off the coast of Gambia!
