I’m a full service guide in the true sence of the word. I love what I do and my passion leads me to really spend the time to figure out the fish. I’m the guy you wave to while walking your dog before you go to bed, and I’m on my way out, or while having your morning coffee, I’m on my way out again! I’m a fishing nerd, a nut!
You bring a few drinks, sunscreen, mabe a sandwich, and I’ll take care of the rest!!!
20% deposit charged upfront by FishingBooker to guarantee your reservation. The remaining balance is to be paid directly to the captain on or prior to your trip date in one of the following payment methods: Cash, Checks.

I often read online reviews and wonder about their legitimacy. Are these real people? are they just friends of the person selling the service? is it just the business owner themselves posing as a reviewer?
This is the real deal. I had no idea who Florida’s Son was and it was simply the first charter that came up on my search… so I called.
Captain Dave is the shit! He called me back promptly, and his primary goal immediately seemed to be to ensure we had a a great day. We are a family of 5, and my wife, three boys (7,9,11) and I are not experienced fishermen and had never used a guide before either. I had no idea what to expect, but we signed up.
I can not tell you how satisfied we were. In addition to Captain Dave, he brought along another guide - Russ Walker - in order to ensure he could keep us rookies under control and ensure we didn’t gaff each other by accident! Russ is equally awesome - and he turned my 7 year old into a fishing machine. We caught a shit ton of fish - at least 10 or more different types including sharks, sting rays and some delicious Pompano.
These guys went well beyond what I would have expected to ensure the kids had a great time (and the grown ups as well) - and they seemed to really enjoy doing it. Most importantly, beyond catching fish and having a good time doing it, they were great dudes. Spending time on their boat with them was as enjoyable as the fishing They are nice guys, who love what they do and have passion and respect for fishing and being on the water that is contagious.
My kids have done a lot of cool stuff in their 11 years, but this day made a major impact on them. The best endorsement of all was “Dad can we just do a fishing trip for our whole vacation next year?” also they wanted to trade their last day of vacation at Universal Studios to go fishing again with Captain Dave.
One CAUTION: don’t let you kids fish with this guy if you ever want to have a good day fishing with them some where else ever again. My kids are ruined. Hooking sharks and fish all day long makes catching sunfish and bass up North seem pretty lame. Dave and Russ can we go for Tarpon next spring?
