About the Captain

Sammy Susarrey Amador
Ensenada, Mexico
Sammy Susarrey Amador is the man behind the helm of Lily's Sportfishing. He's both the captain and the boat owner! He was born and raised in La Paz and has been fishing for over a whopping 45 years, so it's fair to say he has plenty of experience under his belt. His father worked as a captain for 60 years and started teaching Capt. Sammy how to fish when he was little. Now, he has his captain's license and delivery captain's license and uses his years of knowledge to run exciting angling adventures. Capt. Sammy is an accountant by profession but loves fishing so much that he decided to pursue it as a career. His favorite part of this job is leaving the dock and wondering what will turn up at the end of his guests' lines. Capt. Sammy works alongside a knowledgeable and experienced first mate, who had been working with him for over 10 years.
