Bowfishing uses a specially designed bow and arrow set that is attached to a fishing line, so when you take aim to hook onto a fish, you can easily reel it in. The types of fish that are most popular to catch in Tampa Bay while bowfishing are the ones that hang out in shallow water, including Sheepshead, Snapper, Sting Rays, and many more. Despite popular belief, sting rays are quite yummy, and are the best to bowfish for because of their wide surface area compared to other fish.

Captain Steven Swindal was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. With over 2 decades of experience here, he knows these waters in and out. One of the things he's best known for is starting the Tripletail fishing craze in these parts! He takes safety super seriously and does everything he can to ensure you have a great, and above all safe, time on board. An all-around great guy, you'll find his personality and passion for fishing is contagious. When he's not on the water Capt. Steven is a family man. You're likely to find him on the baseball diamond, where he coaches his son’s travel baseball team. Whatever your fishing desire is, inshore, offshore, or target-specific, Capt. Steven has got the trip for you!
