He’s been fishing the Santee Cooper lakes his whole life and he specialized in catching Catfish. With an experienced guide like this, you simply can’t go wrong.
Capt. Brad welcomes you aboard his 25’ Crest boat. This pontoon accommodates up to 6 guests and there’s enough room for everyone to fish at the same time. She’s powered by a Suzuki 150 engine and features all necessary navigational and safety equipment.
You’ll target Catfish using either drifting or bottom fishing. It usually takes 10–30 minutes to reach the fishing spots, depending on where the fish are. You can choose between half day and full day trips and, during the summer, there’s a special adventure – night trip.
The trip price covers your fishing equipment and fresh bait. The captain has a cooler for the catch but you can bring your cooler for drinks and snacks. If you’re planning to keep the fish after the trip and treat yourself with a tasty meal afterward, make sure to bring another cooler as well (just leave it in the car). You’ll need a fishing license, which can be bought online or in local Walmart.
