Key West is famous around the world for having access to some incredible fishing grounds. What better way to explore them than alongside an experienced, local captain?
On board Key West Charters, you’ll be guided on your adventure by Captain Michael Rio. He’s been casting his line in these waters since he was a kid, and is a true fishing fanatic!
Capt. Michael uses these years of experience to provide a first-class Floridian fishing adventure aboard his charter. His trips are seriously diverse and cater to anglers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you want to spearfish around the reef for Hogfish, cruise the shallows for Snapper species, or target tasty Lobster, he’s got you covered.
You’ll be casting off on his 21’ Mako center console, which is built to cruise a variety of fishing grounds. She can accommodate up to 6 guests, making her the perfect choice for a family vacation, or competing with your best angling buddies.
On board, you’ll find top-quality navigational and safety gear, including life jackets for all ages. You’ll be guaranteed a comfortable and secure journey out to the hotspots.
Depending on your skill level and personal preferences, you’ll have the choice to fish a variety of locations and hook a whole host of Floridian-famous species. Capt. Michael is a spearfishing fanatic, and will happily introduce newbies and children to this way of fishing. Your main targets will be Mutton Snapper and Hogfish.
If you’re a more traditional angler, hit the reefs or backcountry for Snapper and Grouper species. Want to take home something tasty for dinner? Opt for a lobstering trip, where you’ll get to try your hand at hauling in delicious Spiny Lobster.
You’ll be provided with all the equipment you need for an exciting day out, whether that’s top-quality fishing rods, or your very own speargun. Your captain will also provide bottled water and your fishing license, so just grab some sunscreen and snacks and hop aboard Key West Charters!
